Back to Diapers....

I used cloth diapers with both A and B so I wanted to with Kai as well.  I picked up some basic new supplies for baby Kai but was slow to get started on them.  We just got back from our annual Florida family vacation, (yeah Boca!) and took our usual trip to Gumbo Limbo, an amazing environmental center dedicated to marine conservation.  They posted these signs educating people about waste disposal and how long it takes for some items to be biodegraded.  Check out some of these....
so O.K. well I use my own bags, and mugs as well as not buying plastic water bottles, but then look at the next one!

Diapers!! 450 years for diapers to decompose! and one baby can go through 8000-10,000 diapers! Wow!

Earlier in April I read an article on-line in Mothering Magazine and realized I will spend upwards of 3000$ on disposable diapers!  Well between my pocket book and the environmental aspects I was motivated to start using the cloth diapers I had. The problem was I was not liking the cloth flats and covers I used when Aidan was a baby. So I called up my good friend, Natasha, at SoGreenBaby and picked up a few "All in One Pocket Diapers" to outfit my little one.  I love them!  They are super easy, it's like putting on a regular diaper, and then you simply wash these ones and re-use them!  They have the cutest designs.  I might have to go back for the skull and crossbones!  I know it is a bit strange to be excited about things that ultimately are soiled in, but these are really fantastic!  Look how cute he looks in puppies.....
Oh, and some of the company names are Fuzzibunz, Happy Heiny and BummGenius.....Too Cute!!

Sunday Fun...

We woke up late today and had some fun taking these shots.  Cousins then came over for brunch and a good friend for dinner (which I forgot to take pictures).. All in all a busy but fun filled day.
